Welcome to the Spring hope historical museum

Opened in 1989 for the town of Spring Hope centennial celebration. The Spring Hope Historical Association was the founder of the Spring Hope Museum.

Housed in an old shotgun house, one of the most popular house designs in the southern United States from the end of the American Civil War through the 1920’s.

The Spring Museum is an admirable example of the importance of preservation of our history and is highly recommended to anyone who wants to see and learn about the architecture in Spring Hope and why it is known as the Town of Many Gables. Antique furniture is on display as well as memorabilia from the late 1800’s through the 1920’s.

It is also a great place to do research on your genealogy and other topics related to the history of Spring Hope. Museum staff and docents are available to help you. Tours of the Historic District of Spring Hope are available by appointment only.

Come and find out about the town who moved overnight?
